This edition the bitsxlaMarató celebrates its seventh aniversary!
The hackathon started on friday 12 of december with the reception and welcome of the 187 hackers and 13 mentors. The 5 challenges related to cancer were presented. Each team worked for 3 consecutive days at the Campus Nord of the UPC, resulting in 48 projects.
During the weekend, a collection of 2.659 euros has been made, destined entirely to the Marató de 3Cat. If you haven't made your donation yet, there's still time!

- Hack the Uterus!: the challenge NEST (NSMP Endometrial Stratification Tool). Winning team: ML Predictivo: recaída en càncer de endometrio
- Predict to Protect: KIR Decode Challenge for the Myeloid Leukemias. Winning team: Allelator
- Attack the pediatric tumor medulloblastoma properly! Winning team: Bias
- Monitoring the cognitive and functional effects of cancer: detection and response! Winning team: Desboria't
- Xuklis Quest: a collaborative game for young people undergoing oncological treatment. Winning team: CarroRebelde
This seventh edition of the #bitsxlaMarató has been organized by the Facultat d’Informàtica de Barcelona (FIB), Hackers@UPC (organizers of HackUPC), the Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC), and by the Institut Català d'Oncologia.
